Evan Gordon

With over 25 years of experience in entrepreneurship, project management, and consulting, Evan Gordon uses his wide array of talents as Turning Point’s Thrive Master. Working closely with Mentors and clients, Evan uses his business savvy and personal experience to ensure that every Turning Point engagement thrives.
In the 1990’s, Evan launched his own gas company from scratch and successfully built it up to a flagship industrial company that was a recognized leader in the industry. In 2008, Evan sold his company to a Paris-based Multi-National and took a Sabbatical to travel with his family. After 4-5 years working in project management for a public Industrial Gas company, he then launched a consulting company teaching business English to international companies and professionals.
Evan has a deep understanding of the dynamics it takes to build and run a private business including reducing dependence on the owner, improving profitability, building the business into a sellable asset. His tenacious and no-nonsense approach coupled with his strong understanding of human relationships has enabled Evan to build winning teams and systems over his career.
Born and raised in South Africa, Evan has first-hand experience in dealing with multicultural workplaces and complex issues. He obtained a Degree in Commerce from the University of Witwatersrand and served as the Health & Fitness Chairman of the University for many years. Evan, his wife Andrea and their three children enjoy hiking, having barbeques and viewing beautiful scenery.
